I have always loved to shoot. Joined the US Army Reserves and loved shooting
there, too. Went to first Desert Shield/Storm with MASH Unit from Johnson
City, TN. After my husband began Auction career we realized the dangers of
carrying large sums of money while in the presence of two small children.
When handgun
conceal carry permits became available in 1996, we got ours.
I began teaching people to shoot after
working with my husband at Four Seasons Outdoor Country Store where we sell
guns and ammunition and several women asked me to teach them or go with them
to shoot. I took classes so I would be certified to teach the NRA Basic
Handgun class and become an NRA Instructor.
Stressed about shooting?
Below are our
Frequently Asked Questions!!!
What if you only own a large caliber
handgun and ammo is very expensive?
I have a Walther P22 that is a sweetheart and for $10 and ammo you can shoot
it. There is a warning though,
after you shoot it - you will want one!
What if your gun isn't registered?
There is no gun registry in the state of Tennessee. If you legally own
the gun, you can carry it or use it to qualify.
Can I qualify with a gun that I am not going to carry?
Sure, you do not have to qualify with your personal carry gun. You can
qualify with any safe handgun of any caliber. Laser and scopes are legal,
too! Yes, I know it is 3 yards...... I said legal, not necessary.
What if you don't own a gun?
DON'T BUY ONE YET! Shoot my .22 and .38 revolver or .9mm to see what you
like, what you can handle, what fits in your hand, what you think you can
conceal- then purchase a handgun. It is very hard to buy a gun without
shooting it first. I don't have one of everything but I have a couple I let
people shoot who don't have a gun yet and aren't sure what to search for.
What if I don't like crowds?
You have come to the right place. I like my classes to be 12 students or
less. I also do private classes for one or two.
The shooting range is private!!!
