Then sign up for a class, 4 hours of classroom instruction and a written test is required and 4 hours of range time with qualification by safely shooting 48 rounds at a silhouette target at a distance of 3, 7 and 15 yards.

When the application is processed at the driver service center, the applicant will be given instructions on being fingerprinted.
